Die vielseitige Unterstützung von Künstlerinnen und Künstlern bei der Verwirklichung ihrer Ideen und Projekte ist Hauptanliegen der Stiftung. Vor allem junge, talentierte Künstler, deren bisheriger Schaffensweg bereits von ernsthaften Bemühungen gekennzeichnet ist, und die noch um ihre Anerkennung kämpfen, werden in ihren weiteren Aktivitäten in folgenden Kunstrichtungen gefördert:

Malerei / Bildhauerei; Architektur / Design; Musik / Komposition; Performance; Installation; Konzeptkunst; Literatur; Kontextuelles Arbeiten und Neue Medien ( Internet, Foto, Video, CDRom )

Ziel des Internetprojektes www.kunstnetznrw.de ist die Förderung von ausgewählten Künstlerinnen und Künstlern aus den Mitgliedsstädten des Kultursekretariats NRW Gütersloh.

Ausstellungsvorhaben zeitgenössischer deutscher Künstler im Ausland können unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen durch das Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen gefördert werden. Bei der Planung dieser Vorhaben kann das Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen keine Vermittlungsrolle übernehmen.
